Performance

You know from my shaft reviews that my launch monitor numbers rarely change with the specifications of a shaft. My numbers are consistent despite my shafts being marketed as high launch. I’m more likely to score draws using shafts with higher launches.

I can’t say enough about my encounter with the Rogue White 130 MSI. One thing that stood out about the Rogue White is its smooth, strong kick. I wanted to be able to hit the ball within my head. While I did not feel as though I was working hard, I could still get good club and ball speed. My Rogue Silver made it more enjoyable to swing harder because of its slightly larger profile.

Rogue White was slightly more soft than the Silver, which helped me draw more naturally. Given the shot shape difference, I did not see any significant differences between the Rogue White and Silver in spin or launch. It’s important to emphasize that I only showed you how my reaction was. Your results might be different. Testing for yourself and being well-fit is always the smart play.

Rogue White 130 MSI has a counterbalanced design, just like the Rogue Silver. The shaft has more weight to counter today’s heavy driver heads. I found the amount of counterbalancing to be noticeable but not extreme. While it did not increase my angle, like counterbalanced shafts can, I experienced a seamless, effortless release.

Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI has three weight options: 60g, 70g, and 80g. Regular, stiff, and X-flex are all available in 60 and 70 grams. Only stiff is available, and only Xflex is available at 80 grams.

The Quick Six: Aldila Rogue 13 Msi

Aldila Rogue’s shaft series has been very popular for years. THP Golf continues to give it rave reviews by its readers. So we decided to dig deeper and sat down again with Aldila’s team for Quick Six.

THP: Aldila Rogue was a huge topic when it first hit the seen and now the 130 MSI model is out. Is there anything you can tell us about 130 MSI or why it is important?

Mark Gunther, 130 MSI means the stiffest and heaviest fibers ever included in Aldila products. This allows us take our shaft design to the next level.

THP:The Silver is currently available. However, tour testing has revealed some other options. Do you think there will ever be a whole line for customers?

Aldila Rogue Silver 130 MSI was introduced earlier this year. With the Rogue Black 130 MSI coming later this year and the Rogue White 130 MSI arriving early in 2020, the complete family of profiles will be available. The new family of profiles build off of the Original Rogue Silver 125 MSI and Rogue Black 110 MSI but feature some very innovative enhancements-including the addition of the 130 MSI material and a progressive balance point story.

THP – What information would you give a prospective golfer about the Aldila Rogue range in general?

MG: We have advanced the very successful and popular original models by adding both premium fibers and turning the series into a 3-provile series for the first time. The new system gives players more choices and the progressive balance point concept allows for greater energy transfer. This will allow for incredible ball speed gains, regardless of ability.

Is Aldila Rogue A Good Shaft?

Aldila used advanced materials and a higher balance to make the Rogue shaft perform better. The shaft’s low torque gives high-swing speed golfers and elite players more stability at impact. This shaft has a high kick point which encourages lower launches and spins through the more dynamic loft.

What does the Msi signify for Aldila

MSI, which stands for strength rating of carbon fiber, is what you need to know. So the Tensei modulus strength of the shaft is 130 million pounds per square inch.Jun 5, 2018

What is The Aldila Rogue White Counterbalanced For?

Rogue White 130 MSI has a counterbalanced design, just like the Rogue Silver. The Rogue White 130 MSI is counterbalanced, meaning that more weight is in the shaft’s butt to compensate for today’s heavy driver heads. February 26, 2020

Are Aldila Golf Shafts Any Good?

This is much more fluid and easy to load. The shaft was not as flexible as I used, but it felt good. The shaft was slightly higher than the stock shaft on the teebox, but the spin rate was about the same. Blue had a slighter tighter fit than the stock shaft.
