Performance

Concerning the performance of club members, let me share my experiences on the green.

My confidence in high-degree wedges is something I struggle with as a player. I saw a shift in my playing style when these Bombtech wedges were on the course. After a few weeks playing with these, I became much more comfortable hitting these kinds of shots as well as flop shots. I’m not alone in noticing this improvement. Five Best Pitching Wedge Reviews 2021. To assess the quality of your wedge club, look for an easy hit as well as a fast ball spin. Bombtech’s Grenade wedges satisfy both requirements quite well.

You feel very confident and powerful when you control the tool. It’s almost as though the control comes directly from the player rather than the tool. It could be due to either the high quality steel used or the freshness of the club. Club members are likely to feel heavier because of the steel used and their large faces. This can make your control difficult, so you might want to think about that. This heaviness works well when you are trying to get shots off the sand. It allows you to hit downwards and the golf ball upwards.

They are great for improving your game especially when you consider the price.

PROS

Performance Proficiency: This wedge’s grooves were designed to amplify the turning or spin of your ball while you are hitting it. The perfect outline helps the player hit shots that stay put on the green.

You are built to last.

Bombtech’s Golf Wedge Buyers: Final words

Bombtech, although not quite as reputable as Taylormade and Callaway, makes quality clubs at a reasonable price. The low price tag is not a problem, but I have the impression that these clubs will be in my bag for at most a few more years as I practice my swing. Bombtech wedges have a reputation for being popular, as well as the many benefits that I personally experienced with them. That is what gives me faith in their products.

My full review of the Bombtech wedges can be found here. In fairness, I wouldn’t be surprised if they raise their prices. These wedges will suit your needs so I recommend you get your set now.

About Bill Winters

Golfers who have never tried it can’t even imagine the motivation behind the bravery required to travel around the large-sized course. Although the ball can be quite difficult, it’s not easy to hit. Additionally, the terrain isn’t flat. And, perhaps most frustrating, there are numerous sand traps scattered around the course, seemingly designed to prevent players from finishing.

Bombtech Grenade Set Review

Independent Golf Reviews Head Author. Here is my Bombtech Grenade Wedge Set Review.

These are my general thoughts and experiences regarding this gorgeous set of wedges.

A driver costs $500, a set cost $1000 and a wedge $150. This is your “new” budget for golf if you want to improve your game. Obviously it gets expensive very quickly. There is a reason every golf forum has the reoccurring question about finding similar products at a lower price. We all want great performing equipment at a lower price.

Bombtech wedges aren’t too expensive at just 3 for $100. They provide great performance and quality at an affordable price.

Bombtech originated as a driver-only company. It quickly expanded its product range to encompass all club types. The clubs are great-looking and perform well at a low price. Grenade clubs are transforming the game of golf.

Bombtech Grenade is a simple wedge that’s easy to use. Grenade branding is visible on the bottom of the shoe and in the corner. It is extremely clean and polished. Contrasting the bright chrome body, the grooved part of the head has a lovely dull appearance. It provides toe and heel relief. The set is almost the same from the top down, with the exception of the loft. Some might prefer different grinds to play different clubs but I enjoy the aggressive grind of every loft.

I put the Bombtech wedge set in play on some of my inaugural rounds in AZ. While I’m still getting used to the firm turf, these wedges performed most admirably. I was able get up and go down the entire course. I usually play a 52*, 54* or 58* wedge set. But the Bombtechs were at 52*56*, 56*, and 60*. I know that this tends to be the most common lofts, I’ve moved to stronger ones because of my irons lofts and my comfort level with the highest lofted wedge. These weren’t the best specs but they fit in my bag perfectly. I was able fill the gap at 105 yards with my 52* wedge. The 52* wedge worked well for both a low shot and a full shot. As well as serving as my sand stake, the 56* covered 95 yards. The ball was exactly what I expected in both instances. I was most impressed out of the sand. I got up and down over 65% of the time, which was an improvement for me. I was expecting 60* from a lob-wedge. The shots I took were mostly correct, though sometimes the extra loft led me to misjudge the spin and distance.

Bombtech Wedges: Three for $99

Bombtech offered me to review their latest wedges, and honestly I was skeptical. Although I’m not a math major, it’s hard for me figure out how to make money from a wedge costing $33 that doesn’t have an ounce quality. Bombtech does not get the memo. However, Bombtech’s $1.50 price tag is fair enough for me to enjoy a burger and fries with a beverage. The point at which low pricing is a warning sign that the quality of your product will be poor is when it becomes unacceptable.

Let’s move on to the review. I will soon return to the business model. First of all, how it looks. The looks of a wedge can be just as important to many people as a putter’s. You can also find wedge manufacturers who are very blingy with these sticks, just like boutique putters. Grenade wedges are simple, although Bombtech logos on the back make them stand out.

For people with short games, such as mine, it is a large club. It was particularly true for the 60 degree wedge. This club is known to breed fear and anxiety in many. To make up our ineptness, the wedge must look confident. To me, a bigger head means more confidence.

Bombtech logos appear on the butt part of the grip. It is because this shape suits the round green grenade perfectly. They are my least favorite part of the club. I’m not certain what brand they use. There is nothing wrong with them, however they do feel somewhat cheap. This I suppose can be partially expected. But it is a simple grip, and most recreational golfers wouldn’t notice.

This club’s durability is what I care most about. Wedges tend to get banged up and are prone to rusting when made with low quality material. These clubs have been with me for only a few months so far, so my only positive comment is “so far so so good”.

Performance:

As I eluded to earlier, my wedge play is the weakest part of my game. Because of this, my wedge playing is the weakest. I usually use a P-wedge to get around the green and a less lofted clubs. When I am on the sand, the 60 degree would be the most I reach for. Because I had to review a 56, 52 and 60-degree wedges, I found it difficult to make good shots. On my journey to the opera, something funny happened.

Bombtech’s Golf Gloves Are Any Good?

Bombtech wedges will not break the bank at $100 for 3 wedges. However, they offer excellent quality and performance at a much lower cost. Bombtech started as a driver company and has quickly expanded its offerings to most every club in the bag. You get great-looking and high performing clubs for a much lower price.

Are Bombtech Wedges Forgiving?

The BombTech wedges are slightly oversized to make even your bad shots look pretty freaking good. You will feel the same control and forgiveness as you’d expect from a premium set thanks to its heavier head weight. You’ll be envying your buddies on the golf course if you stick it close.
