Let’s take a look at software reviews and user feedback online. This is what we found when we searched the internet for Driver Support information. MyWOT has given driversupport.com a rating of only 1.3 stars out of five and it is considered to be dangerous. Trustpilot has users complaining about the poor interface and slowdowns in their computers after they installed the product. Others have pointed out that it is very unclear when purchasing the license whether it is a one-time or monthly subscription. Some of the reviews are very positive.
Overall, many people are scathing about the software’s inability to solve problems and failures to do what was promised. Many are saying that the software did not fix audio problems after updating the drivers. We believe users shouldn’t spend money on programs that don’t work, particularly when they can update drivers manually through the Device Manager panel.
We must point out that the program isn’t illegal or malicious, therefore it should NOT be called Driver Support virus. It is a safe program according to VirusTotal’s latest analysis, though some security software vendors have still marked it as potentially dangerous.

It pulls links to the most up-to-date driver versions from its large database, although you must download and install them manually. However, the driver update software has limited operating system compatibility and doesn’t find as many drivers as other programs.
Driver Support’s performance during our testing was not impressive. However, we were not impressed with any of the other products that we tried. It found only 69 out of the 149 obsolete drivers it scanned on our test computer. This result is less than the category average of 74% and just slightly higher than Advanced Driver Updater (which found only 48 drivers — a disappointing 32 percent success rate).
Driver Support displays the version information for every driver installed, but it does not show the source. It is quite disconcerting. This is a disconcerting fact. Without knowing the source, it is impossible to verify that the manufacturer of the original equipment (OEM) has installed the updates. Driver Support also requires you to manually download and install updates instead of taking care of them for you automatically, something the best programs do. A novice computer user many not feel comfortable doing this, and even if you know how, it can be time-consuming and a hassle.
It has an intuitive interface. The homepage makes it easy to start a scan. You also have the option to backup and restore drivers.
Software allows you to set schedules for automatic scanning of your computer’s drivers. The program has great exclusion and uninstall features that not all software offers. These options allow you to modify or remove drivers according to your needs. Additionally, the software does not download or install bloatware, malware or nag ads, unlike some other programs.
Driver Support has more support options than any driver updater that we have reviewed. The company can be reached by email or phone, and the website has a wealth of information. Windows 10 as the current operating system is supported. It can also be used with Windows 8/7 and XP.
