The differences in sizes and varieties

In North America, the Dyson V8 comes in two different variants, the Animal and the Absolute. While the Absolute does not have a soft rolling vacuum head, it comes with one for use on hard floors. We expect the Absolute to work similarly.

What makes the Dyson v8 stand out from other vacuums in its class?

A powerful vacuum in a compact body, the Dyson V8 offers up to a 40-minute run time, multiple attachments, and a HEPA filter. You can quickly convert it to a handheld vacuum, which is great for quick clean-ups. With a quick release system, it is easy and fast to attach and disconnect tools. Converting from a stick vacuum and a handheld vacuum takes just seconds. Users can easily empty the dustbin which has a capacity of.14 Gallons with a tab at their handle.

The unit is somewhat small in stature, measuring 49 inches long, 9.8 inches high, and 8.8 inches wide. The unit is lightweight, weighing just over 5 pounds. It can be carried from one room to another and up stairs without any difficulty.

There are several models available for the Dyson V8, the most widely used being the Animal and the Absolute. For this article, I’ll be reviewing the Dyson V8 Animal. Only the attachments are the real difference between these two models. Animal attachments consist of a motorized mini tool, a combo tool, rotary tool, a micromotorized tool, emulation tool, and direct drive heads. Absolute includes all these attachments plus a soft-rolling head for cleaning hardwood floors. Keep in mind that the included accessories and color schemes may vary depending on the specific retailer and the geographic location of the purchaser.

Dyson V8 Animal Review

V8 Animal uses nylon brushes with a motorized design to get deep under your carpet. While the V8 Absolute’s 425W “digital engine” has plenty of suction power, 115 airwatts. It was months after cleaning our house with Henry’s sibling vacuum Hetty. When I saw how the V8 Animal pulled so much dirt out from my carpets, it shocked me. Straight after cleaning with the Hetty, I used the V8 to clean the same area of carpet and, almost immediately, found the 0.54l capacity bin full of fluff, cat hair and a few longer strands from my daughters’ hair. This roller works so well that it is important to monitor its movements. It can easily become wrapped in fibers quickly, which can be a problem if the house you live in has such a large number of fibres.

It’s very easy to take out the roller to clean it. A twist on the coin slot release plate, located to the left side of your head, and it will come out.

The Dyson V8 is also effective on other surfaces and in less demanding conditions. Nathan shares the entire details of his testing of the V8 Absolute. I have to say that my experiences with the cleaner are fantastic.

This cleaner heads performs flawlessly on both carpets and hard floors. It picked up the cat-litter droplets in our quick testing with no fuss, and there was only one small piece of debris that flew off. Direct-drive heads can push their bristles into carpets, pulling out fine particles that have become lodged in the pile.

The direct-drive floor-cleaning head has an articulating ball-joint, so it’s nimble, allowing you to manoeuvre around chair legs and under cupboards quickly and easily. You can use the mini motorized head with even tough dirt.

Max Power mode on the top allows you to use higher suction levels for more challenging dirt. However, this can drain your battery quickly and provide only seven minutes of continuous operation. The switch has been moved from previous models and is now found on the top, making it easier to toggle on and off as needed.

Recharge Time and Battery Life

We cannot conclude this Dyson V8 Animal review without talking about the battery life, charging time and other details.

Expect a cordless vacuum cleaner to last 40 minutes. But, you can only achieve if you are using a non-powered tool. The run time will be reduced to 25 minutes if you are using the turbo tool, or the direct-drive cleaner heads. It’s still longer than Dyson V6 which takes 20 minutes.

The Dyson Animal V8 Animal’s 25 minute runtime will leave you plenty of time to clean, as the tool kit makes cleaning easier.

The boost mode is for stubborn pet hair or spot cleaning and has a 7-minute duration.

Dyson states that the average charging time will be five hours.

Appearance & design

Dyson cordless vacuums all have similar designs, and the V8 Animal is no exception. This vacuum is lightweight, has a portable handheld mode and comes with several accessories. A versatile vacuum, it also has handheld and stick modes.

The V8 Animal portable cordless vacuum is lightweight and mobile, as you’d expect. This cordless model is very light, weighing in at only 2.61kg. When needed, the tools can be attached easily.

Dyson’s V8 body balance is impressive despite being quite heavy. The V8 motor is light and comfortable, while the placement of the batteries balances it.

A mini “ball joint” is included in the standard direct-drive cleaner. This isn’t the same as Dyson’s true “Ball” models, but makes it easy to whip around furniture and other obstacles.

The V8 is so easy to use because of its lightweight and mobility. V8 Animal cleaning is far easier than using a traditional upright. Yet, you have the same performance.

There is also a limitation to the dust volume. V8 Animal is small in size and needs to be regularly cleaned. The lack of the hose can make it hard to clean difficult or high areas. You can use it to clean stairs.

One thing to note is that the V8 series uses Dyson’s trigger system. You must hold the trigger when vacuuming. This increases cleaning time but can get tiresome during prolonged sessions.

Dyson V8 Animal Review and V8 Absolute Comparation

Instead of spending the full price for the Absolute, you can save money by purchasing the V8 Animal and getting almost the exact same features.

Sometimes portability is more important than power in everyday life. That’s why you see people choosing laptops over tablets, laptops over desktops, smart phones over other devices when shopping at grocery stores. The same goes for vacuums. While uprights and canisters will do a better job than handheld or robot vacuums, it’s sometimes less important to clean a little before your mother in law comes by. This is a true statement of experience.

Dyson sees it. Because of this, Dyson sells full-sized uprights, handhelds, and stick vacuums. Today we’re going to review the Dyson V8 Animal Cord-Free Vacuum and compare it to its V8 sibling, the Absolute, to see if it’s worth the upgrade. The ten-second summary of the Dyson V8 Animal Cord-Free Vacuum is that you should upgrade to the Absolute to get the soft rollerhead and the Animal to save money if it doesn’t. The V8 Animal is available for purchase here.

Why Buy The Dyson V8 Animal?

We consider the Animal a great deal for the amount you spend. This cordless vacuum is hundreds cheaper than the Absolute, which lacks an extra head for flat floors. While it isn’t perfect, the vacuum does have some shortcomings. It has a shorter battery life than other cordless vacuums and takes longer to charge. But it cleans very well, it’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and is simple enough for everyone to use (we’ve tested it with 10 year old girls and 65-year old grannies and both have given it a thumbs-up). Our main suggestion for improvement would be to upgrade to the Absolute if you have a good amount of hardwood floors and want to maximize battery life. Both vacuums are functional, and both work well.
