Kristin Ess: An Overview The self-named brand’s founder was at the top of her game as one of the most trusted hairstylists to the stars. After sharing her knowledge with others via social media platforms such as Pinterest, she rose to fame.

She quickly realized that her goals were to make it easier for everyone to access quality haircare and styling products at their own homes. While professional products are readily available, many of them come at a high price for consumers.

Kristin Ess Scalp Purifying Microlar Shampoo

Kristin Ess Scalp-purifying Micellar Shampoo Although many people could just buy a shampoo and go, I prefer to spend time perusing the shelves looking for the best one. After I heard that Kristin Ests, the queen all things hair, was starting a haircare line, it wasn’t long before I added Kristin’s products to my cart. Here’s my review of the Scalp Purifying Micellar shampoo.

The packaging of this product shows that it has been created by someone who really knows her stuff! You can use the pointed nozzle on this dark teal, squeezeable container to direct the formulation directly onto your scalp. The back of the bottle contains the directions and the ingredients.

Follow the instructions and I shampooed after washing my hair. The clear, runny formula spread and lathered up quite well. You can distribute the shampoo easily all over the scalp using the nozzle. Although the shampoo felt a tad heavy when applied, it rinsed off easily. It is scented with light coconut.

This product was used a number of times by me and my feelings have been mixed. It is not as strong as clarifying shampoos, but it removes a thin layer of hair build-up. It is very moisturizing, which makes it great for people with thick or dry hair. It leaves your scalp feeling nourished and balanced. If you have very fine hair or are sensitive to greasiness it may weigh your hair down. You can use this shampoo once a month instead of your regular shampoo for a deeper cleansing. My mane feels smoother and is less frizzy after I use it. But, once a months I like to apply a clarifying product on my scalp.

Kristin Ess Shampoo makes your hair feel greasy

I wanted to like this product so badly, but after the 42304th time trying it I still wasn’t in love. Although she states on the package that it can be used to moisturize your hair, I don’t think this is a good idea. Mar 1, 2019,

Kristin Ess good for thick hair

The formula isn’t super thick which surprised me as I normally use it for thick and long hair. It was moisturizing after application, felt light and smelt amazing. The next morning after my first use, my hair felt so much softer and smoother and I’ve been using it ever since.Apr 12, 2017
