iPhone SE (2nd generation) is now compatible with wireless charging. Although it maxes out at 7W, this is quite slow compared to wired. Although it is easier than using a cable to charge your device, the charging pad works slowly and takes longer to reach its power source. Some rival Android phones have embraced faster wireless charging speeds up to 15W, with a small number even reaching the 30-40W range.

The new iPhone 12 models can still charge wirelessly at 7.5W using standard Qi charger pads, however, there is a better alternative. Apple’s MagSafe Charger. The small, lightweight pad can be attached to any iPhone 12 model. It provides up 15W of wireless charging speed when used with a strong-enough, wall charger (not supplied). While it is well-designed, it can prove a bit costly for the specific tasks that it performs. You can still use it if it is necessary.

Magsafe: What Does It Mean?

MagSafe was founded on older MacBooks. These were magnetic connectors that could easily snap on and off from the MacBooks. This older 85-watt and 60-watt MagSafe charger on the MacBook is now replaced with type-C connectors.

While we still have the existing Lightning chargers in the market, Apple recently revived MagSafe for the iPhone. These smartphones now include a magnetic band on the rear which allows users to attach magnetic cases, wallets or MagSafe chargers.

MagSafe Charger for iPhone is Built and Finished Like all Apple products, MagSafe charger looks great in fit and finish. The stock Apple cable isn’t my favorite, but this MagSafe charging case for iPhone doesn’t disappoint. It will last longer if you take care of it.

I have been worried about damaging the MagSafe charge wire. The MagSafe charger is only one unit. If you break the wire you will likely have to replace it.

MagSafe chargers can be used to charge iPhone 8 and any subsequent models, as well as AirPods. It is a Qi-compatible unit which means you can charge anything that features wireless charging. According to experience, iPhone 12 functions best with this charger due to the matching magnetic alignments. It doesn’t however mean that all compatible iPhones work poorly.

MagSafe Charger: The Best Choice! After using the charger for two months I am able to confirm that it is an excellent choice. The charging is so simple that you can use your phone even while it charges. I wouldn’t recommend this unless there is an immediate need.

Magsafe Iphone – How Fast Is it?

MagSafe can charge at a maximum speed 15W. While it’s not a spectacular figure compared to 65W fast charging on the OnePlus 8T, it still beats Apple’s previous record of 7.5w Qi wireless charger.

MagSafe Charger took more than an hour to fully charge the iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro. Similar results were obtained with the Mophie 7.5WQi pad. This took more than an hour. Yes, wireless charging speeds are much quicker than iPhones.

If speed is important, however, a cable with a fast connector will work well. In less than 30 seconds, the iPhone 12’s battery life went from zero to five percent using a USB-C-20W connector and cable.
