MSI is most well known for its gaming range of products (review GF63 and Stealth), but it also offers business and productivity notebooks. These three series are the MSI Modern 14, Summit, Prestige and Modern. Summit, Prestige, Modern. Here’s a new model, the MSI Modern 14. This laptop is mid-range and has a lower configuration than the other models. It is still modern in its design and functionality. My review unit ships with a 14-inch FHD display, the latest 11th gen Intel CPU, M2 NVMe SSD, a 52WHr battery, and Thunderbolt 4, among other things. It all fits into a small and compact chassis, which should make it easy to transport.

Since then, it has served as my daily driver and I am very happy with its appearance. For Rs67990 it raises the question of whether the vehicle is worthy of ultrabook standards.

This Smartprix Review of MSI Modern 14 is available (B11MO235IN). Let’s look into that question.

First, let’s take a look at the contents and their components.

Msi Modern 14 Rb Review: An Ultra Thin Productivity Machine

In the past few years I have tested a lot of laptops. The majority of these were gaming laptops packed with high-powered hardware and heavy, heavy packaging with huge charging bricks. So when MSI sent over the productivity-oriented MSI Modern 14 A10RB ( Rs. The entire package attracted me to the MSI Modern14 A10RB laptop (Rs.74,990). The Modern 14 has served me well. It does everything that I normally do, plus some extras I never did before. Let’s get into it.

Design and Build. I started with the design. Its sleek design, its silver-white color, and aluminium body are all stunning. The entire design is stunning and very attractive. To be completely honest, I tend to prefer laptops with darker colors. However, MSI did a fantastic job with Modern 14. I am trying to identify issues so that I can talk about them.

It’s a beautiful laptop from the outside. The lid looks gorgeous, the laptop is thin and very light at just 1.2kgs. All the ports are available; you can open it with just one hand.

The one issue that I have with this design, however, is the fact that I first saw it open. The webcam is probably what you have guessed. You can see it on the bottom, akin to the Dell XPS 13 and has the same problems like that laptop, with people often peering into your nose while you’re video conferencing. This is an especially big deal to me as I have been working remotely a lot lately due the coronavirus outbreak. As a result, it means that I end up videoconferencing quite a bit throughout the day. My nostrils were like this from below. Ugh.

Other than that one issue, the laptop looks amazing and feels great. It feels sturdy and solid, and the laptop should be able to take some punishment. Although I didn’t test the laptop for impact, it looks sturdy enough.

Msi Modern 14, 2021 Review: Fits the Remote Learning and Working Bill with a Few Notable Flaws

MSI Modern 14 can be configured with either an 11th-Gen Intel Core i3/Core i7, however, the model we have with Core i5 is priced at Rs 54,990.

As the popularity of remote working and learning sores during the ongoing covid-19 crisis, the demand for PCs is also rising. The following specs are essential for remote workers who need to be able to work remotely. And on paper, the new MSI Modern 14 pretty much meets all of them. In today’s review we will dive deeper into the Modern 14’s specs sheet to determine if it is capable of delivering in the real world.

Design and Build First off is the design, which I have to say is pretty straightforward. This slim laptop features a slim, light profile in brushed grey or blue aluminum. It keeps your fingerprints away and adds a polished appearance. It also features a thin and light form factor, weighing in at only 1.3kg. It also has thin bezels all around, although the chin appears slightly larger than what you see on the competition.

You can find the MSI logo on the screen’s bottom as well as the middle of its lid. The hinge makes it possible to turn the screen 180 degrees. It could also be helpful for presenting on a table with a few colleagues. For better heat dissipation and better design, the hinge elevates the laptop’s lower part slightly from the table. Overall, the build quality is solid while keeping it slim and light.

[Review] Excellent for Work and Play: The Msi Modern14(B11S).

MSI Modern 14 RM4,499 Designed for users on the go, the MSI Modern 14 (B11S) is completely devoid of the garishness of its gaming counterparts and presents a sleek and compact exterior, complete with their new business logo that was announced last year along with their 11th Gen Intel lineup.

MSI Modern 14’s compact dimensions of just 16.9mm thickness and 1.3kg weight make it a portable laptop that can be taken with you everywhere you travel. Other than minor issues, the MSI Modern 14 was an acceptable laptop for light gaming and work.

We received the Modern 14 in three colours: Carbon Grey, Bluestone and Beige Mousse. Personally, I enjoy the colour. It’s simple and beautiful without becoming too feminine. This champagne color is a good match for the matte metallic, and both the edges and their shape feel nice. The MSI logo is imprinted in a different texture, and looks beautiful under certain lighting angles.

Lifting the lid will elevate the keyboard deck, much like ASUS’ Ergolift hinge design. This allows better airflow and a more ergonomic typing experience.

On the bottom, you’ll find 1 plastic and 1 rubber strip instead of the usual tiny feet. Although they weren’t very grippy they did feel very comforting, particularly when pushing the laptop across the table. The hinge also has vents that can be used as a music equalizer.

Modern 14 comes with MIL STD-810G certification. This means that it will withstand almost all drops, shocks, and temperatures changes. While I was not able to try this on the review unit because I did NOT want to get blacklisted by MSI it’s good to know that it can theoretically withstand me and other klutzes.

Display and audio While this laptop is more for general productivity work, the 14″ IPS-level display still performs adequately. The laptop is accurate in colour, covering 72% NTSC as well as ‘close to 100’ sRGB. In any case, you can probably do light creative work on this, but if you want to do serious colour correction, you might want to invest in a laptop with a better display.

Modern 14 has a clean design featuring a metallic silver appearance and white chiclet keypad.

However, the thick bezels, wide speaker grille and small trackpad make the laptop look as if it lacks symmetry. Trackpads can be difficult for some users to adjust to. You will also need a mouse.

Its greatest advantage, however, is its lightweight of 1.19 kg.

This laptop is designed for people who enjoy playing during office hours. The machine should not be seen as a gaming laptop. It can also be considered an economical option for those who own YouTube channels or work in content creation.

The laptop has weak speakers. This laptop is less than average for audio quality and volume.

Talking about the hardware, the laptop comes with a 14-inch Full HD 60Hz IPS display along with 8GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 2GB GDDR5 graphics. Windows 10 Home is included out of the box, with a 10 hour claimed battery. MSI is generous in providing connectivity ports. Two USB Type-C ports are available, along with two USB 3.2 standard USB 3.2 audio combo jacks, HDMI, and a SD card reader. It also has a HD Webcam, located centrally at the bottom edge.
