The TM P770s were designed to solve the problem of control with the TM790 Irons. The TM P700 Irons are smaller in head and provide more spin than the predecessors. In terms of performance, there is little to no difference between the Ping i500 or TM P700 Irons.

I’ve been a Taylor Made loyalist for 20+ years and I was planning to purchase P790 irons. I read reviews about I500 irons, and I fell in love the way the irons looked. So I finally decided to give the irons a go and went to Ping Sydney Australia for a fitting. It was a wonderful experience. Recoil 780/F3. Those shafts are beautiful and amazing ! I tried G700 for a while, and then I decided on I500. The shafts are just too stunning to pass up. Distance wise, the trajectory is amazing. I won one club and half! Seriously happy 🙂

I was an AP2 player, and now I want something more flexible.

Looking for some long term real course reviews not launch monitor reviews.

Ping i500 Irons vs Ping G425 Irons Review & Specs 2121 Ping started in a man’s garage and has gone on to become one of the most well-known brands in golf. The company was founded by Karsten Solheim in 1959. However, iron manufacturing would not begin until ten year later.

The company has been crafting various models of distance irons for players over the years that provide consistent distance while allowing forgiveness.

This post will compare Ping G425 irons with Ping i500 to help you decide the best option for your game.

Introduce the Ping G425/i500 Irons G425 irons. They are part of the prestigious G range that Ping introduced back in 2004 with the G2 irons.

With the G425 model, Ping has been able to increase the MOI by 3% over their predecessor the G410 while making the heads smaller and more compact. That is added to the 8% increase in MOI from the G400 to the G410. Additionally, G425 was built to maintain consistent distance, ball speed, forgiveness, and consistency.

Ping has just released the i500 series of irons. The iron’s unique muscle-back design is the first time that this type of iron has been released in 30 years.

The i500’s loft is strong and has a wide sole for forgiveness.

It is evident that the Ping G425 and i500 irons were made for forgiveness and distance. The shaft lengths as well as lie angles are exactly the same. While the loft angle on the G425 irons is slightly more robust, it’s clear that the sets were designed for distance and forgiveness.

G425 takes the title in this category because it has superior technology construction as well as increased ball speed, MOI and carry.

The custom options are available for mid handicappers who want a set of all-around irons that’s long, flexible and consistent.

Ping’s G700 and i500 irons are very similar, largely thanks to the appearance and design of these muscleback options.

The offset gives the body a wonderful forged look, while the clubhead is flat in nature.

Ping i500s face is made out of C300 maraging iron, which flexes more on impact than earlier models. Ping describes this combination as “metalwood-like performance” and it is combined with the 17-4 stainless metal body.

You get better ball speed and more distance with the comination, but without losing any forgiveness.

To increase ball flight’s trajectory, the geometry of the Muscleback was created to enhance its performance.

Ping have used a Hydro. Ping used a Pearl Chrome 2.0 coating on their irons in order to maintain consistency and control distances, particularly when working from rough conditions and with wet conditions. The i500s are now better able to interact with the turf.

The i500 irons are classic in muscleback design and ooze sex appeal. They will definitely be a hit with those golfers who want to appear the part while on the course – though they come at a high price.

However, these irons go beyond looks. These irons are also about performance. The i500 range has the longest distance Ping can add to it – enough to make club selection one less than with other models.

Ping i500s offer a more enjoyable experience than playing blades. While they offer great performance, forgiveness and distance, the true selling point of the Ping i500s is their impressive range.

Ping recently introduced their newest additions to its Ping family: the Ping Ping II20 and Ping Ping I500 irons. In our below review, we will dive deep into the unique design and performance of each club.

Club Tested. 7-Iron Shaft : True Temperdynamic Gold; Flex : X100. Loft : 33deg Ping irons i210 are players irons. They’re an evolution of Ping irons i200. The insert has a 30% bigger custom tuning port and is filled with a 50% softer elastomer. Ping said the results resulted in 25% more face contact, and a smoother feeling during impact. A redesigned leading edge and sole combine with a more compact shape and minimal offset to deliver enhanced turf interaction and a high-end look that appeals to better players. For machine-like precision and consistency, the i210 grooves have been precision-milled. Additionally, the pitching wedges and U-wedge replicate the Glide2.0 wedge precision grooves. Fliers can’t be missed by the scoring irons thanks to a tighter radius edge and fewer groove spaces.

The i210 irons are gamers and designed for better players, but I believe players trending towards a single digit handicap will find these a very nice offering, too. You can have up to 14 handicaps.

Wow! I love the Ping i210s irons. The moment the i210s arrived at my address, I was able to feel confident. Hydro-Pearl 2.0 is smooth and clean, yet it looks durable. A white bottom line stands out against the Hydro-Pearl finish and helps to align the face at address.

It gives the toe a boxy look and has a longer, middle-thickness top. The sole’s width isn’t as slim as that of a blade, but the leading edge has a defined shape and is rounded. This gives the toe a visual connection with the turf and provides a good visual for addressing it.

You get excellent feedback. I knew exactly where I hit the ball and shots on the sweets spot were incredibly smooth. Elastomer inserts improve feel. They also eliminate vibrations and clicky sounds cavity backs might make. A repeatable, slight draw was possible that launched easily. A shortened follow-through produced a flighted down ball flight without much hassle.

These irons can be smooth.0 and they are well-worth a look, especially if the goal is to improve your game. You aren’t going to find outrageous distances or maximum forgiveness from the midsized i210 clubhead, but you will find a consistency in distance, performance and feel in the highest order. I may need to make a tough decision about when my irons will be replaced.
