You can’t tell which 0211 driver you are from by the address. (review HERE). There are differences in shape and size, but the dominant feature – the Hybrid Crown Construction – is shared. The head appears more compact than it is triangular and despite its 460 cm.
When you flip the driver over, you’ll see the 0211 is distinct from other PXG drivers. Where PXG has been known for having lots of movable weights, the 0211 keeps it simple. This sole is all about the “PXG” branding at the centre.
It’s also worth noting that the stock cover is useful in such situations. The denim-like material is something I’ve never seen before, and it’s an eye-catcher. PXG also included a magnetic “QuickStick Cart Magnetic Technology” in their headcover, so that you can attach it to your cart when you hit a shot.
Performance
Like many PXG-based drivers in the past, fine tuning was the key focus. Two models are available for the Proto driver: one to suit downward or upward angle of attack. There were many movable loads in previous generations. 0211 simplifies: One model is all that’s needed to allow everyone to drive longer distances.
It is important to remember that ball speed is the key. Because of the high MOI, Hybrid Crown Construction and titanium face, 0211 drivers have a lot of speed, both in center and out. This driver is stable. I was able to keep the ball in the center of the head and it kept the ball moving at a consistent speed.
It is evident how straight the 0211 looks. It is not always possible to have a proper shaft fit. I did this test with the HZRDUS Yellow [review HERE]. – This head minimizes the curve of the drives. The odds of your ball hitting the fairway are strong if your face is square at impact.
Launch and spin are the final keys to the driver 0211 performing well for many players. Because of the low, deep CG this driver prefers to launch in a middle-high window. This CG helps keep spin at a low range, which is great for spin-averse players such as myself and others who may need to lop off a few RPM.

I know that I absolutely need the PXG0211 Driver. For $249, plus shipping, it seems quite reasonable for a new driver and shaft. My current TaylorMade M1 driver shaft is a TaylorMade M1 that my grandmother gave to me. It has a regular flex shaft. My only concern is the inability to hit the PXG prior to purchasing. The nearest PXG facility that I know of is a 6 hour round trip drive through some heavy traffic. It’s the sight of Seattle in my rearview, they say. PXG has a return policy, but it requires you to send the item back. There is also a 15% “restocking fee”.
Reviews are few, that I can find, but what there is seems favorable. One user compared the Ping G425 to it (but much cheaper). It was also very affordable. Sheesh. I’m probably going to call PXG tomorrow and talk to them but there’s still time to talk me out of it…
