Pxg driver review: The new Pxg0811X is better than its predecessor?

Blake Doll of Breaking Eighty contributed this review to the PXG Driver Review.

Parsons eXtreme Golf has climbed to be one of top golf brand manufacturers.

Bob Parsons, a straight-talkin’ Texan businessman and founder, says it all: “That PXG clubs is the Duck’s nuts.” Although that may seem a bit extreme, I do understand the point. Their clubs have an “a sweet spot as big as Texas” and are sexy and well-performing.

The irons they use are among the most powerful in golf. The Eighty Club has many members that have found love and who feel fit.

To that end, I want to show you how PXGs amazing technology affects the long-game…the driver.

I’ve not spoken to as many people gaming the PXG0811X, their second generation driver.

Lucky for you, it’s been fun to play with and I decided it was time that you saw the final results.

Review of The Pxg0811XGen 2 Driver

PXG have been an unstoppable force in the world of golf ever since their debut, with innovative marketing techniques, distinctive pricing and a lot more than the usual. The new driver, however, does it live up to those standards? Read our full PXG 0811xGen 2 driver review.

Although PXG irons proved to be game-changers, offering power, forgiveness and feel that no other irons could match, the first two lines woods they made were only good. The quality isn’t great. PXG prices are a lot more expensive than the original 0811. You demand exceptional performance. While the original 0811 driver had spin, the PXG0811x driver has a narrow sweet spot that allows you to extract the best from the driver. Even though Fairway’s hybrids and woods were stronger performers, the Arizona-based brand will see the new 0811X Generation 2 woods as a significant improvement. The woods’ impressive performance is not the only reason it stands out, however. PS550 is the RRP, which brings it back to the fold. It’s still the most costly mainstream driver but it is now only fractionally more than TaylorMade and Callaway drivers, making it an attractive contender.

What sets The Pxg0811XGen 2 apart from the rest?

This review focuses on the PXG0811x Gen 2 driver and what it offers that sets it apart from other models. Variable Face Technology is used to improve ball speed and miss hits on all heads. This lightweight material improves sound quality and feels without adding weight. The driver line includes 2 drivers. The O811x is a low spin design, where the 0811XF is designed for extra forgiveness. You can also find matching fairway hybrids and woods. PXG 0811x Gen 2’s review revealed that the face is deeper and slightly more compact from head to tail. The X’s weight forward design allows for low spin, ball speed, and is very lightweight. The X has 9 interchangeable weights, so that shot shape can be changed. Ports are located in both the front and rear of the head. Also, weight ports near the heel add bias to draw.

The XF extends the head forward to back. The XF’s weight is higher back. Ping G400 Max has the best forgiveness but has a lower centre. Who wouldn’t love that combination of high forgiveness and low spin? Hybrids and fairways share the same technology, but are made of steel rather than titanium. The fairway head is a touch on the small side, but is easy to hit, while PXG has hit a home run with their third hybrid in a row. According to our opinions, it offers a wonderful combination of head shape and size as well as ease of use and adjustability.

Verdict

After having tested the PXG 0811x Gen 2 twice, I am confident that this is a fantastic driver. The feel and sound of the driver is fantastic, a little livelier than the previous PXG driver, but still quiet and powerful which is impressive. More importantly, miss-hits feel good and also retain ball speed. This crown design, while unique and beautiful, does not make it look ugly. It also allows for better alignment down the fairway. Personally, I’m not a fan of the X alignment, but I know other golfers will like it. PXG may offer the choice of not using an alignment aid. It’s something I would like to see. Adjustable hosel can lower the flight and the weights have a serious impact on spin rate. Since I was having trouble hitting the ball left, the heel setting didn’t work for me. Although it was not the driver that I chose, the ball speeds and spin rates were comparable to the top drivers of the year. Although this isn’t the driver that I have chosen, I wasn’t far away from it. PXG is distinguished by its leather headcover, which makes it stand out even though their price tag doesn’t. The cost of a driver with PXG will not be considered if they are the best for you. This hurdle is now gone.

Pxg 0811X Golf Driver Review (2021)

PXG 0811X has the longest, straightest, and most forgiving of all golf drivers. This driver is however one of most expensive on the market, and you will have to fork out some extra money to improve your performance.

The first thing many who test the PXG 0811X golf driver realize is it produces lower golf shots with low spin. With the driver’s boring, low-ball flight you won’t lose shots to your right or high.

You can adjust the driver’s position by using the weight and hosel controls to find the setting that suits your best swing.

Let’s get into the PXG0811X review of today’s Golf Driver and discuss all aspects, including design details, before you make your purchase decision.

Do Pxg Drivers Really Work?

Because of the titanium face and Hybrid Crown Construction (high MOI), this 0211 driver produces a high amount of speed on center and off. This is a very stable driver, and when I kept the ball near the center of the face, the ball speeds were consistently high. You can also see this stability in the way that the 0211 runs. What’s the difference between Pxg0811Xf and 0811Xf

The 0811X increases the launch angle, spin and moment of inertia by adding tungsten weights to the back. This makes the head more stable. January 2, 2019,

How good are Pxg 0811 driver?

The sound and feel are similar to the PXG0811 driver’s look. However, they are not unique. The sound at impact is a mid-pitch “pop” with medium volume. It is more than average for feedback on impact location. Although I won’t deny that 0811 can feel amazing when you are truly pure.
