I’ve been using the new Ryobi 3300 PSI Honda Pressure Washer for the last couple of months on several home maintenance projects. I’ve been using it to clean Lichen moss off siding, mildew and algae off decking and a concrete patio. Right out of the box the first thing I noticed was the nice compact size of this pressure washer and it’s relatively light weight. The Honda motor is also a plus, as I have been an avid fan of Honda small motors for many years.

The Honda engine starts easily and runs very smooth. One thing that would be nice on this unit is a larger gas tank. On a full tank of fuel, the unit should run for approximately 45 to 1 hour. When I was working on a big project, I realized that I needed to refuel more than I thought.

Ryobi 3300 PSI Honda Pressure Washer’s first and most difficult task was to clean siding and remove stubborn lichenmoss. Lichen is really difficult to remove from siding and the 3300 PSI pressure really did well removing it but not damaging the siding. This combination with the 40 degree nozzle and pressure worked well.

For siding damage prevention, be sure to adhere to the manufacturers’ guidelines. You should avoid washing vinyl siding in an unnatural angle. Cambara hardwood decking needed to be cleaned. This was my next task. The decking was covered in mildew, algae and other harmful fungi. The process of pressure washing wood decking is dangerous and should be done with extreme caution to avoid damaging the wood. It was adjusted to a 40° nozzle, and the washer was held at approximately 8″ from the surface. It was very effective in removing the excess buildup and without harming the wood.

For Ryobi, there are only three Home Depots we’ve been to. They have 2 electric and 2 natural gas. Other options will require you to pre-order them. Which is no big deal just worth mentioning.

How can I get my pressure washer to start working?

Here are the steps for getting started with your pressure washer (assuming that it’s an electrical model) after you’ve assembled it.

Attach nozzle to the end of spray-wand lance.

Attach garden hose and pressure hose to pump inlet and outlet.

Turn on an electric wall outlet.

For full water flow, switch on your garden hose.

Pull trigger on spray gun for 15 seconds (you should see a low pressure stream of water coming out the nozzle).

The on-button will turn the pressure washer on.

Cordless Pressure Washers:

A couple of companies has recently introduced cordless pressure washers. The smaller models have been around for awhile, with an average 750 psi rating.
