Terrible product appalling service

Multiple failures of original siddons. Repaired by a repairer. At 4yrs electric and refrig pipe shorted blowing a hole in the system as per reviewer below. Had to buy new heat pump as outside warranty. New heat pump began malfunctioning at six months – multiple contacts with service department and basically minimal help – no hot water multiple days. Siddons finally sent someone to the job after several complaints. Repair tech diagnosed problem and said the unit was in dire need of major repairs. Siddons discussed the issue with him and suggested that he flush it. He said he’d be back in a week. But no hot water or tech responding to calls. Summary : Expensive unit, terrible quality, appalling customer service and product support. We can’t recommend it.

Failure Construction, No Service

Siddons’ all-in-one heat pump style was the best I found after researching every hot water system available. Siddons had a stainless steel tank, which was one reason why I chose them. Our first impression was that the hot showers were very limited for a tank of 270 liters. Even after many attempts and tweaks, we couldn’t get this system to work as it was supposed to. Therefore, we replaced the product with another brand. Refer to my separate review for our experience with Siddons service.

Find out how to fix a faulty product. After researching all the latest efficient hot water systems available, I chose an all in one “heat pump” style from Siddons. One of the main reasons I chose Siddons was due to the stainless steel tank option. The performance of our Siddons tank was disappointing. It only holds 1 hot shower. Siddons didn’t respond after many communication attempts. Siddons tried to offer us various adjustments, modifications to the plumbing, and testing over the phone but nothing worked. After many weeks of complaints, Siddons came to visit our home. Although the agent acknowledged that the unit had been defective and wasn’t working correctly, no action was taken. We were then asked repeatedly to run tests at our expense. I began to feel sick at the inaction. I expressed my desire for a refund and stated that I would sue Siddons for a replacement or repair of the unit within a reasonable time. After many months of frustration, the business owner finally visited to see the problem and offered no solution. We were asked to continue testing. Once again a week later we had to chase Siddons to confirm if any action was planned and after giving Siddons a generous time to respond but with no answers we eventually were left with no option but to remove the Siddons and replace with another brand.
