The new year has seen these drivers make quite the splash. It’s clear why, as you will see after reading the review. You can trust this driver by top players like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.

Although the SIM 2 was a big hit in 2020 it wasn’t available to everyday golfers. It’s now available for purchase by the general public, and is already a huge hit with golfers. We’ll be reviewing the tech and specifications of each driver to help you find the perfect one for your game.

So what makes this new driver from TaylorMade so special?

Yes, it’s quite a lot… The SIM driver will be replaced from 2020. This was very popular. TaylorMade described it as “First we transformed the driver, then, we rebuilt him.” Rebuilding the driver completely from scratch to provide forgiveness and distance. The SIM2 Max Driver features include:

Speed Injected Twist-Face Technology: Toe and heel shots just got a whole lot faster. With the twist technology you can have straighter hits on any off center hit.

Forged Ring Construction: This is what makes this driver so special. The aluminum they use is precision milled and designed to help increase both power and forgiveness.

OUR TAKE. When asked to comment on SIM2’s look, testers described them as futuristic, modern and fast. And with all that carbon-based new-age carbon in the sole. TaylorMade SIM2 drivers are still known as “Shape in motion” drivers, although the company has made several major improvements. One initially skeptical GOLF tester took notice of the improvements: “I tried to hit the original SIM last year, but this new one feels a million times more solid. It’s going to be hard to beat this.” THE DETAILS. TaylorMade combined proven technology (TwistFace and Inertia Generator), Speed-Injected face, thru-slots, carbon crowns) to create its SIM2 heads. For weight savings, TaylorMade has created a carbon composite soleplate. A blue aluminum back rings connects the crown to the rear sole. These new parts work in tandem to reduce weight and improve performance when mishitting. The blue colorway is not for you? TaylorMade allows you to change five distinct areas within the heads using its MySIM2 customization platform. Most notably, a new sole plate is made entirely of carbon composite to save weight, and there’s a blue aluminum back ring that connects the rear sole to the crown. This helps to decrease weight, which is a benefit for mishits. This lineup includes a SIM2 Max D with fade bias, SIM2 Max Max Max with ultra-forgiving SIM2 Max, and SIM2 Max D that induces a draw.

Forgiveness

At this point, there’s little doubt that the SIM2 Max is more forgiving than the SIM2. In my testing, this proved to be true.

Sim2 Max is simply better for mis-hits. My distance results compare to solid strike and any mis-hits will stay in play.

But how is the forgiveness compared to the SIM Max? Some claim there isn’t any improvement but I would disagree.

In my SIM Max Review, I noticed that the driver was not as forgiving as the. TaylorMade is closing the gap by introducing the SIM2 Max. I find it to be one of my favorite drivers right now.

Taylormade Sim2 Driver Review: The Ultimate In Power

Paul Club Reviews Golf Product Reviews No Comments In this review, I’ll take a close look at the TaylorMade SIM2 driver.

SIM2 was the natural successor of the SIM driver. It introduced an asymmetric sole that increases speed. SIM2 goes beyond this, completely rebuilding and re-engineering the driver so that it can achieve big distances with low spin and high MOI.

The SIM2 driver claims to give you unprecedented amounts of speed, power and forgiveness. However, how does it compare with other TaylorMade model drivers?

Is Taylormade Sim 2 A Good Driver?

SIM2 will suit players with higher swing speeds who prefer low spin and lower launch. SIM2 Max, which is more all-rounder, will be suited to elite and mid-handicapper golfers. It has a higher launch, spin, and launching speed.

Sim 2 forgiving of drivers

SIM 2 drivers are the first choice. It’s one of the more forgiving models and is used by some the finest players around. This model has low launch profiles and high forgiveness, but less than the two other models. The driver’s MOI is high with 16g of steel weight, which allows for optimal launch characteristics and low spin.

Does The Sim2 max Driver Allow Forgiveness?

SIM2 Max’s golf ball feels extremely solid, producing a “crack” sound at mid-pitch. This makes it a great club to hit. Although the SIM2 Max driver can be very patient, it does give good feedback through your hands.
