Taylormade Sim Driver Verdict

I think I said that the SIM was my model before this review began. However, dare to say it, it actually did what it stated. Sometimes the spin was too slow for me to swing at a lower speed.

However where the SIM Max really impressed me was when I didn’t catch one true. I never got a high spinning shot (over 3000 rpm) and so my distance never dropped.

This range’s middle driver was not expected to produce such good results without having to change settings to reduce spin. The Inertia Generic at the back was a great addition to the ball’s flight and did not impact spin.

Due to the position of the Inertia Generator and its shape, swing speeds were not increased. The 20-degree angle of inertia generator is still elusive to me. While it can be demonstrated in TaylorMade labs or by DJs swinging at the club “in slot”, I am not convinced that we will all enjoy the same results.

Paul Club Reviews Golf Product reviews No comments In this review I will be taking a close look to the TaylorMade sim driver.

SIM adds to the M5’s successes, including the Speed Injected Twist Face.

Combining the new shape with the newly redesigned Inertia Generic, the Inertia Generator improves aerodynamics as well as speed during the most crucial stage of the swing.

Although the SIM promises a lot, how does it perform in practice? What does the SIM compare to previous models like the? Are you sure it is worth the effort?

Taylormade’S Sim Driver is Focused on Controlling Spin & Adjustability

TaylorMade SIM Driver (Shape and Motion) is one the three 2020 TaylorMade SIM drivers. He focuses on controlling spin and dialling shots bias. SIM MAX, on the other hand, focuses upon forgiveness. Max D SIM is the draw-bias driver.

TaylorMade’s SIM driver is about aerodynamics, geometry and speed. Using an asymmetrical sole and tested technologies like speed-injected twist-faces and multi-material carbon crowns, TaylorMade has created a driver that focuses on improving clubhead speed in the downswing.

TaylorMade’s SIM driver SIM allows players to tailor their game and make adjustments. The SIM Max D and SIM Max D have slightly different faces, which appeals to players who are more concerned about control and adaptability.

Taylormade Sim Driver Review, Photos And Video: Clubtest 2020

ClubTest 2020: We tested and evaluated 28 new drivers. Below you will find the TaylorMade SIM driver result.

Prices: 549/BUY NOW Lofts 8@, 9@ and 10.5@. Our view: To get the most out of drivers’ heads, creativity is key. It also takes some extremely smart engineers. TaylorMade’s SIM (“Speed in Motion”) is clearly visible. It shows how their braintrust has worked hard to create new ways for the company to gain more speed. However, it does so while appealing to golfers who desire adjustability. The sole houses a Speed-Inducing Inertia Generator. It is also paired to a new aerodynamic profile that improves clubhead speed. SIM differs from other models due to the 10-gram sliding weigh that provides 20 yards of drawfade bias. Although SIM’s driver features a smaller face than Max D or Max D, the innovative Twist Face technology combined with a fifth generation carbon composite crown makes it difficult to discern a significant difference in terms of speed.

SIM boasts first-rate launch properties thanks to its impressive carry numbers, low spin, and outstanding spin. Although the driver’s face is smaller, he still managed to rank near the top in terms of overall speed and forgiveness. You can even choose to fade your favourite shot. Even better.

ClubTester’s view (+1–hdcp). “This club it a 787. Robot’s assessment: High swing speed players will rate this club’s carry and forgiveness scores near the top. You can also expect impressive forgiveness from the mid-speed team.

Verdict

The name SIM may not have the same powerful sound as the M-Series but it does have an appealing aesthetic.

The new SIM Family is designed in a way that’s simply stunning. It seems to become more comfortable as you use the SIM.

We love it at address. Contrasting with the carbon crown, the chalk-white top line looks great and is a wonderful contrast.

TaylorMade’s drivers are always top of the line in terms of performance.

The Inertia Generator, which was slightly inclined, did appear to slightly increase my club speed. SIM Max as well as SIM Max also produced some very promising numbers.

In the SIM driver you have a low spinning driver that produced a penetrating ball flight, while the SIM Max gave me a little more spin and a higher ball flight.

SIM Max had a more flexible driving experience, but I preferred it to the SIM Max because it could still give me the distance without requiring a stick.

Cons:

No significant changes over earlier models

Not much adjustability

The next steps in the journey forged by previous M drivers, the SIM Max and SIM Max drivers will be released in 2020. There is still speed-injected twist technology, and there’s also the MOI sole weight. But it has been done slightly differently. This review will be focusing on the SIM Max. However, the SIM Max has a slightly smaller face and offers more adjustment.

This driver’s first impression was undoubtedly its stunning looks. It has had the bottom of its head reworked slightly since the predecessor. And the combination of dark and metallic colors creates a sleek, pleasing aesthetic design.

In terms of performance, TaylorMade say that this driver is offering more forgiveness than ever before and that they have geometrically optimized the sole weight to further increase MOI. It is hoped that the swing will become more aerodynamic and thus, faster. Also, the launch conditions for this model are slightly different to previous ones.

TaylorMade liked the face-to-face interaction of the M driver faces. Therefore, no changes were made to the speed injected facial twist technology. You will see the ball rocket off your face. It’s also designed to be helpful if the ball strikes parts of your face that can cause trouble. It’s also a great sound.

TaylorMade’s ability to improve ball speed over time is undisputed. However, it seems that the company now faces diminishing returns. The new soleweight seems to be a significant improvement, though it is still a powerful driver. However, most players may not notice any difference.

Final Thoughts

TaylorMade continues to lead the way in technology for golf clubs. SIM Max has a remarkable driver with its light MOI and proven speed injection. If you are a professional player and believe that you would be more successful with this club, then it is for your benefit.

Higher handicappers can also join in the fun. While the clubface was designed for speed, it is also optimized to allow for forgiveness. Carefully placed CGs will ensure that you have the correct amount of loft.

Do not expect to see a dramatic change in your TaylorMade M5/M6 if you have the SIM Max. But, rest assured this driver is top-quality.

We hope you enjoyed our TaylorMade SIM Max Driver Review.
