Wandering Bear Coffee may have gotten the idea for the brand name of their Cold Brew Coffee boxed coffee. Their crew will not attack you for walking into their territory. However, they won’t be offended if your passion is sparked by their belief in the first cold brew coffee blend. We are not usually able to tolerate bears but we were intrigued by Wandering Bear Coffee.

Wandering Bear’s first impression: the box. The design of Wandering Bear’s cold brew boxed cold is what makes it so special. Although the interior construction of the bag/box combo is well-engineered, the most impressive feature is the design of the box. We also love the way the coffee is dispensed from the spout.
Structured securely to the front of the box and designed with a button that’s easy to push, the spout makes serving coffee a breeze. Simply place the box into the refrigerator, put your cup under, and then push the button to open the spout.
Wandering Bear provides two options for cold brew boxes: the 96-oz carton (about 16 cups of coffee) or one gallon (about 21 drinks of coffee). Once you’ve chosen the carton size, you can then choose how many cartons you want to order at a time.
We were immediately struck by the ground-smoothing aroma when we opened our freshly roasted coffee beans bag. It was immediately exciting to smell the dark and robust aromas of the coffee. A few hours and 12 more later, we were able to enjoy our cold and refreshing cold brew all week.
We kept our brewing process simple, following Wandering Bear’s ratio of 1 cup of ground coffee per 3 cups of filtered, room-temperature water . The brewing method we used was simple using a tea bag/mason container. However, there is plenty of cold-brewing equipment that can help you make bigger batches.

I must say that having cold brew on tap is very convenient. Before this review I was drinking cold brew every morning after work. Cold brew started with making iced tea, but I found out that it isn’t as tasty as cold. Then I discovered there were many cold brew options at my local grocery. A cold brew machine was the best choice as the coffee I had tried at the supermarket didn’t taste strong enough and it also seemed diluted. Wandering Bear Coffee was my favorite cold brew coffee and it made me so happy.

The 16 6-ounce servings in this box are 6 oz. Wandering Bear claims that every 6oz container contains 2 shots of espresso with 150mg caffeine. All Wandering Bear Coffee is made with simple, 100% organic ingredients and contains no sugar or dairy. The cold brew containers can be recycled by separating the bags from the boxes.
Wandering Bear Coffee’s cold brew coffee has a higher caffeine content than your usual cup of Jo. Wandering Bear 32oz coffee cartons provide a greater kick of caffeine. Their single-serve, 11 ounce containers contain 300mg per serving.
Straight Black has a smooth taste, and is not bitter. It also tastes sweet, almost fruity, followed by rich, nutty flavors. The cold brew is not acidic, and it was really enjoyable with some creamer.
